Take to the skies with Air Yoga!

🧘‍♀️ Aerial Yoga, also known as Air Yoga, transforms your practice into a suspended adventure! 🪂 Thanks to a specially designed swing, you can perform yoga postures while floating in the air. This discipline tones, stretches, strengthens and regenerates your body. ✨

ON THE PROGRAM

The benefits of Aerial Yoga are numerous.
As well as improving flexibility and muscular strength, it promotes better blood circulation and improved posture. Practising in suspension relieves pressure on the spine and joints, reducing the risk of injury. What's more, Aerial Yoga is excellent for relaxation and mental well-being, helping to reduce stress and anxiety thanks to the playful, liberating aspect of the aerial experience.

During the school vacations, join our multi-activity "Kids Club" courses for children! We're delighted to offer your children a week full of games, laughter and exciting discoveries, designed to meet their every need and desire.

Our workshops are full of fun activities: Pilates, creative workshops, musical rhythm classes, and much more. All these adventures are supervised by super-friendly, qualified youth and sports instructors.

Days start at 9 a.m. and finish at 5:30 p.m., with meals and snacks included. Entrust us with your children for an unforgettable vacation!

Aqua Harmony Swim School - Back to school 2024

Sign your child up for the start of the new school year to become an advanced swimmer with the "Kids Learn to Swim" method developed by the Swiss Swimming Federation (FSN). 🌊🏊‍♂️📚

THE CHAMPIONS' METHOD

Teach your children to swim safely and enjoy themselves in the privileged setting of our Veyrier swimming pool. The Aqua Harmony swimming school offers you personalized coaching and the expertise of the best Swiss swimming schools, using Swiss Aquatics methods.

Thanks to the "Kids Learn to Swim" method, developed by the Swiss Swimming Federation (FSN), your children will progress through 10 levels designed to transform them, step by step, into better swimmers. They'll learn to master different swimming techniques, while gaining confidence and ease in the water.

Give your children a safe and rewarding swimming experience, with Aqua'Harmony and the proven methods of Swiss Aquatics.

Roland, the Ailes winner!

Welcome to our "Portrait of the month" section! This month, dive into Roland's exciting world, where fitness and swimming meet to form the foundation of his passions and his career at Harmony. Find out how he has integrated these disciplines into his life, from his early days at Harmony Veyrier to his current role as manager at the Centre sportif de Veyrier. 

How did you get into fitness/swimming?
I discovered fitness/swimming when the Harmony Veyrier club opened. I'd already been swimming for several years as a triathlete and coach. The same applied to body-building, during muscle-strengthening sessions. Thanks to this dual activity within the Harmony Veyrier club, I was able to merge and exploit my two skills in the service of others.

What's your favorite sport?
I love endurance sports and weight training. Most of all, I love running in our beautiful mountains, whatever the weather!

Who are your favorite athletes?
The athletes who inspire me most are the runners from the Kenyan highlands. They combine performance with humility, something I can completely identify with. They also inspire me because, with very little, they manage to achieve great things, not only in sporting terms but also in human terms.

How long have you been with Harmony?
I started at Harmony with the opening of the Veyrier club in 2018. I've learned a lot in the field, working with teams and customers. It's a great adventure that's continuing with new responsibilities that drive and excite me. I enjoy both sporting and professional challenges.

What's your background at Harmony, or are you new to the sport?
At the Veyrier club, I ran a number of private and group swimming classes, aquabike, aquagym and aquajogging classes, as well as the weights platform. At the time, my greatest wish was to take charge of a Harmony club and team.

Because of the Covid period, there was no immediate need; on the contrary, we were looking to "salvage the furniture". On leaving Covid, I set up my own club to gain full experience in setting up, managing and staffing a club. During this period, I was still running the club in Veyrier. By 2023, Harmony was already planning to take over the Cointrin sports center. So I decided to try my hand as a lifeguard at the Carouge summer pool, to discover the specificities of managing a seasonal public pool. At the beginning of 2024, Harmony asked me to become manager of the Centre sportif de Cointrin - piscine des Ailes. I immediately accepted, as it was an obvious choice for me.

Which of Harmony's values do you identify with most?
I identify with Harmony's human values of sharing, benevolence, solidarity, mutual aid, conviviality, accompaniment, support and respect. These are values we share not only with our colleagues, but also with our customers. It's a real HARMONY.

What is your ambition for Les Ailes?
My ambition for Les Ailes is to develop new aquatic and land-based activities to revitalize the center and offer pleasure and enjoyment to all who use it. To achieve this, I can count on competent and motivated staff who are ready to roll up their sleeves when necessary (they already do and it's fantastic). I can also count on an exceptional management team, always ready to help when needed.

Quinoa: the perfect ally for athletes

In the world of sport and health, finding the right foods to support optimal performance is crucial. One of these often underestimated superfoods is quinoa. It's not just a trendy alternative to traditional cereals, but a nutritional powerhouse, particularly suited to the needs of athletes.

Why Quinoa is a Must for Athletes

1. A complete source of protein
Quinoa is one of the few plants to supply all nine essential amino acids, making it a complete source of protein. For athletes, this means ideal support for muscle repair and growth after training.

2. Rich in Sustainable Energy
With its rich complex carbohydrate content, quinoa provides a prolonged release of energy, essential during long training sessions or competitions.

3. Minerals for Muscle Performance
Rich in minerals such as magnesium and iron, quinoa helps improve muscle function and optimize oxygen supply to muscles, crucial factors in any physical activity.

4. Optimal digestion
Quinoa is easier to digest than many other grains, making it perfect for a pre-workout meal or for replenishing energy reserves after exercise, without causing heaviness or discomfort.

5. Anti-inflammatory properties
It contains significant quantities of anti-inflammatory compounds which help to reduce inflammation in the body, speeding up recovery after exercise.

 

Recipe: Energetic Quinoa Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 vegetable bouillon cube
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Juice of two lemons
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions :

Rinse the quinoa in cold water until the water runs clear. In a saucepan, combine the quinoa, water and bouillon cube and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes, or until the quinoa is tender and the water has been absorbed. Allow the quinoa to cool, then remove the seeds with a fork. In a large bowl, mix the cooled quinoa with the peppers, cucumber, onion and parsley. Add the lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper, and mix well. Serve immediately or refrigerate for freshness. This salad is perfect for replenishing essential nutrients after a sports session.
